The majority of our guests have been comedians. We've gotten the opportunity to talk to many of our comedy favorites, such as Jimmy Pardo, the Sklar Brothers, and Sean Cullen. Who are some of your favorite comedians? Are there any that you think would be a good fit for the show?

Louis CK, David Cross, Brian Regan, George Carlin, Chris Hedwick, Patton Oswalt - and I recently discoverd Mitch Hedberg. Great stuff.
And honestly, I think Patton Oswalt would make a great guest. He's probably more of a film geek than a film snob, but it might work.

I would love to hear Patton Oswalt, Chris Hardwick, Rob Huebel Paul Scheer, or Doug Benson as guests. And what about getting Samm Levine? He seems like a whore who enjoys doing anything (in a good way) and has lots of connections to other potential guests.

A couple of those people are on the docket, but their availability is proving difficult to work around. Don't worry, though. We'll get there.

So I recently realised that a lot of people hate Mitch Hedberg. Why is this? He's not a racist homophobe like Jeff Dunham, and his act doesn't rely on his physicality like Dane Cook's. I find his jokes to be,not intellectual, but genuinely clever.

The comedian you were looking for who does the bit about "The Gambler" is in fact Chris Hardwick. He seems like he'd know a bit about movies.
Along with Never Not Funny, Jordan Jesse Go! is my favorite comedy podcast. They both seem to have a pretty solid knowledge of pop-culture. In fact, Jordan Morris is one of my favorite people on Twitter. A funny guy like him really oughta be doing more than hosting a deep cable action-sports-entertainment show.

People I dream of hearing on the good ship BP include Maria Bamford, Chris Fairbanks, Todd Glass, Patton Oswalt, John Mulaney, Dana Gould, Andy Kindler, Marc Maron, Paul F. Tompkins, Greg Proops, Eugene Mirman, Doug Benson, and many others I can't think of.
Of course I've done absolutely no research into whether or not any of the above comics are sufficiently into movies to warrant a guest spot, but I'm sure they'd be entertaining regardless.

Comedy Death Ray Radio is my new favorite podcast. The characters they do on there really set it apart from the rest of the comedy podcasts.
I haven't heard Pod F. Tompkast but I love the name.

If you get Doug Benson you could probably get Jon Hamm.

My favorite comic is Lenny Bruce, but I think it will be hard getting him..., but I would agree with most of the previous replies about trying to get Patton Oswalt. He loves movies, particularly the ones people love to "geek-out" about. Maybe a future episode can be about these kind of movies.

I agree that Patton Oswalt would be great on the show. And perhaps someday we can get him. Unfortunately, he is just so busy these days that he barely has time to be on the shows of his actual friends, much less a couple of strangers. We've spoken with Doug Benson about being on the show, but he is also incredibly busy these days. But we'll see what we can do.
