Good show, but now I'm curious as to what you were going to talk about.
Anyway as a fan of the Jonah Hex comics (particularly the most recent series), I chose not to see that movie since it looked awful. I mean, supernatural elements are not necessarily out of place in a Jonah Hex comic, but I knew despite Josh Brolin being pitch perfect for the part that it was going to be awful, since what I love about the comic is that it's just a classic western style tale about a somewhat amoral bounty hunter and his often brutal style of justice. I love that the creators dare to make Hex downright unlikeable at times and making some fairly unpleasant decisions. One issue even has him kill a posse of innocents (though granted, his intentions were good).
If you want to check out a good take on Hex on film, DC has been doing some great short features that appear on the special editions of the animated movies (I've only seen 2 myself, but they were quite impressive for direct to video animated features, particularly compared to the Marvel features). WB released the short features on a DVD along with a 20 minute film with Captain Marvel and Superman (which is just OK, though I really like Captain Marvel's characterization). The Jonah Hex short is cool and surprisingly brutal (this might be the only animated short that had a part where I flinched at some villains pain) and ends on a very creepy note. There's neat Green Arrow short (the story isn't that special but the action scenes are really well done) and a Spectre short that pays tribute to both the Fleischer/Aparo Spectre run and horror film of the 70's and 80's (with cool John Carpenter style synth).
