I have no idea why I'm thinking about this (I didn't watch the Oscars) but I think I've just realized that I don't like Anne Hathaway. The currently living actress, not Shakespeare's wife. I have no beef with the latter.
She has what I might call (borrowing a term from Paul F. Tompkins) Woman Falling Down syndrome--the willingness to be funny, but not the ability. Whenever she tries to be charming or funny it's always mechanical, like someone just said, "Here, do this voice and make this face--it'll be whimsical and hilarious!" Her persona feels completely bland and manufactured and I resent her being foisted on me as a contender for America's sweetheart--did she marry Charles Foster Kane at some point? And the more I think about it, the more it's getting on my nerves. Yes I know I'm taking this too seriously.
As a disclaimer I should add I haven't seen her in any dramatic roles like Rachel Getting Married.

You didn't see Brokeback Mountain? I like her. I think she was great in Rachel Getting Married and the afore mentioned Brokeback. I think she's cute and sometimes entertaining comedically. I think the problem is she got placed into the Sandra Bullock hole of cute and silly because of The Princess Diaries. However, everytime she's in a serious role, I like her. And this, even if it's a photoshop, is super hot.
