We are now in the final season of "Lost." Feel free to discuss it openly here. Please note that there will be major spoilers.

Ben's "I can't forgive myself" speech was powerful stuff and I was happy to finally feel something, anything for Ilana.
Jack had a great moment, and I don't usually love the guy. We got a bit of concrete information from Eyeliner.
The reunion was genuinely moving and the cut to Ben was equally effective. Hurley and Sun are two of the most enjoyable characters on this show.

I agree that that speech was amazing. Michael Emerson's choices when he says "No one will have me" were absolutely astounding. And, yes, the scene between Jack and Richard (in which Jack actually takes a leap of faith and Richard shows some genuine emotion) is one of the best of the series, I think.

I'd agree that the episode was a little rough around the edges but memorable moments like these are exactly the sort of thing I expect from the final stretch of the series.
Am I the only one who gets a kick out of seeing Richard Alpert appear out of nowhere? Like last week when he came in to say one line and then went off to do whatever he does out there in the jungle by himself... only on Lost.

Richard has always been a fascinating character to me, if for no other reason than because he seems like he truly has all of the answers. In a way, he seemed like the Island personified, mystery and all. Which is, of course, why the last couple of seasons have been so interesting. The cracks are starting to show.

Anyone else getting a strong The Stand (as in Stephen King's) vibe from where this last season is going? And I can see many of our favorite characters bouncing from/betraying Team Jacob or Team UnLocke to the other.

Anyone complaining about Lost at this point is just plain wrong. Prepare yourself for not one but several final season moments.

This last episode was pretty rough. Four major characters taken out in one fell swoop. I like that we are given the opportunity to grieve for Jin and Sun through Hurley. It was pretty rough. This is also one of the few episodes in which the flash-sideways was also really effective for me. Locke's monologue about the plane crash was very touching. Moments like these are why I love the show so much. Usually, TV shows or movies that are as slick as "Lost" aren't willing to show truly vulnerable character moments. In a series that could have been all about the serpentine plot and the gotcha! moments, "Lost" is surprisingly character-driven and is committed to following that drive as far as it goes. A good example is Locke's death scene. The disturbing rawness of O'Quinn's performance isn't something that we don't often see on popular network television programs.
