I don't follow the Emmys like I do the Oscars. I tend to be a little frustrated by them, in that they often reward whatever is the newest, most popular series, regardless of what it's up against, but that's just my opinion (a fairly uneducated opinion, at that). The complete list of nominees are below. Are there any surprises? Are you pleased/dismayed by any inclusions/exclusions? www.emmys.com/nominations

Lost got just about every nomination I expected (and hoped) it would. I was surprised to see Elizabeth Mitchell get a well deserved nomination for her guest spot.True Blood's 'Outstanding Drama' nomination proves your "opinion" correct. I haven't seen every episode but from what I hear the ones I haven't seen aren't that much more 'outstanding' than the ones I have. Agree or disagree?
I'm not sure why Michael C. Hall hasn't won an Emmy for playing Dexter yet and I'd really like to see John Lithgow win for his guest appearance on the show. Everyone get ready to cringe at the sight of on screen siblings Deborah and Dexter doing things siblings don't normally do.
I'm not convinced Glee is a perfect show but I think the kid who plays Kurt deserves the nomination he got.
Ron Swanson played by Nick Offerman on Parks and Recreation is literally one of my characters on TV right now, no nomination.
Community had a really fantastic first season and has already won me over, no nomination.
Mitchell from Modern Family deserves to be nominated for his role in the 2006 sitcom The Class which (along with Better Off Ted and Andy Richter Controls the Universe) is among the most severely underrated shows on television.
I think that's the most of what I have to say on the subject.

I just watched the first season of Community and I cannot believe it got no nominations. I dont really watch any TV now that Lost has ended ( not because of quality or some sense of superiority, just because I don't want to pay for cable) but I can definitely say I will be watching Community when season 2 comes along. That and Dexter, which was great last year.
As for the other nominations I really can't say much other than I hope Lost wins a couple well deserved Emmys.

My chief frustration is the lack of nomination for Nestor Carbonell in "Lost." In a season that was fairly emotionally lackluster, Richard's episode was really powerful. I thought for sure that he'd get a nomination.

You know, I totally forgot about Ab Aeterno. That is a bit disappointing to see them overlook his performance in that episode especially.

While I haven't seen "Breaking Bad" and have heard that it's wonderful, it must be a little frustrating that Jon Hamm has now lost the Best Actor Emmy three years in a row. He really is the face of that show and his performance sets the emotional tone for the entire series, which has been awarded Best Drama. I, of course, assume that he will win sometime in the future, but it just kind of puzzles me that the Academy keeps giving it to Bryan Cranston. Of course, as I mentioned, I haven't seen "Breaking Bad," so I may not have a leg to stand on.
